Relocation
of laboratory animal facilities and an ultra-centrifuge
facility were required in order to install
a computer within the research laboratory
complex.
Chu & Gassman provided the electrical, HVAC
and plumbing design for both the relocation
of existing laboratory facilities and the
installation of the new computer system. A
roof top cooling tower installation represented
a challenge which was solved after an extensive
review of the existing laboratory complex.

Columbus Circle, New York. The electrical
design required coordination with Con Edison
to arrange for the increased electrical power
requirements of the computer equipment. The
positioning of the facility on the 20th floor
required extensive remodeling of utility chases
to both the basement electrical rooms and
the roof top cooling towers. |
