Chu & Gassman provided complete MEP engineering services for gut rehabilitation of an abandoned six (6) story apartment building (53,000 sq. ft.). Apartment building consists of 49 units and a community and laundry room. Work included design of building heating system, domestic hot water system, ventilation of kitchens and bathrooms, and building fire protection.

Heating is by multiple hot water boiler units. Fire protection included sprinklers and standpipe. Electrical power and gas supplies are by PSE&G. Design was based on BOCA Standard and NJHMFA Regulations.

Construction was a part of a pilot New Jersey program in association with the New Jersey Home Mortgage Finance Agency.
