Design
and construction management services
consisting of investigating existing
conditions; defining scope of work and
procurement of design subconsultants;
contractor prequalification, equipment
procurement; preparation of bid documents
and procurement of contracts; construction
inspection and final system testing
commissioning and training.
Fire safety system for each building
consists of sprinkler, emergency lighting
and fire alarm in compliance with ADA
regulations. Fire alarm systems (micro-processor
based, multiplex/addressable-type) included
new alarms, detectors, and audible,
visual and communication equipment.
Wet type sprinkler systems were installed
and integrated into new fire alarm systems.
Majority of the work was performed in
historical, landmark or landmark quality
buildings (as defined by the City of
New York) which required special attention
to original details of fixtures, decorative
elements, and finishes, to retain a
high quality of materials and craftsmanship.
